Set up Indeed Apply

Receive applications from Indeed in RecruitOnline, with submitted documents, screening answers and source attribution.

← RecruitOnline integrations

Before you start

You need a RecruitOnline administrator account with access to System Settings. If this screen is unavailable, ask your administrator or RecruitOnline support.

Use the normal support process in RecruitOnline to confirm your customer/source is included in the Indeed feed and to provision the shared partner API token and matching secret. RecruitOnline supplies these credentials. You do not obtain them from your Indeed employer account.

Prepare an active advertised job and any screening questions you want candidates to answer. Indeed controls job acceptance and publication.

Enable Indeed Apply

  1. Open System Settings, select Integrations and find Indeed.
  2. Confirm support has configured the API Token and API Secret. Contact support if they are missing, and keep them private.
  3. Switch on Enable Indeed Apply. This applies across your customer/source, rather than to one recruiter or one job.
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the form and click Save Integration Settings.

Allow for background processing

Saving your settings does not immediately publish a job or change its Apply button on Indeed. RecruitOnline processes the feed in the background, then Indeed processes the feed. Ask support to check feed inclusion and processing if your job or Apply option does not appear.

Find incoming applications

Open the relevant Recruiter Job and its Applications view. Indeed Apply submissions are linked to that job. A recognised candidate can be linked to their existing candidate record.

Open the candidate record to review the submitted resume and additional documents, and review the supported screening answers supplied with the application. The Source column shows the attribution supplied by Indeed, including product names when supplied. Continue your usual recruitment workflow from the application record.

Get help

For help, use the normal support process in RecruitOnline. Include your organisation, the job reference, the approximate time and what you expected to happen. Keep credentials and candidate documents out of public reports.

Indeed Apply is separate from application outcome sharing. This guide covers receiving applications; any Disposition Sync rollout has its own customer notice and controls.
